Kooza returns to the guiding spirit of the original Montreal–based circus, gathering together the best acts in their fields and teaming traditional circus skills with contemporary presentation.
Cirque du Soleil was always spectacular and Kooza has spectacle in spades.
From the moment the huge drapes rise to reveal the gilded, triple–tiered set like a steampunk spaceship or the balcony of an exotic palace, it is clear we are in for an eye–popping night.
The production makes use of every inch of the hall, lighting up distant corners we rarely see, as acrobats and high–wire artistes show off their skills dizzyingly high above the stage.
Kooza is now playing until July 5th, 2015 under the blue and yellow Big Top located on W. Mound Street, at the future home of the Sports Pavilion & Automotive Research Complex (SPARC)
